During the Royal Challengers Bengaluru run-chase, Virat Kohli was seen playing around with a bowler from Punjab Kings, Shikhar Dhawan, in a playful manner.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match on Monday, "comeback man" Virat Kohli scored 77 runs against Punjab Kings, showcasing his abilities in the game's shortest format. In addition to being a successful batsman, Kohli kept everyone amused with his on-field antics. The skipper of Punjab Kings (PBKS), Shikhar Dhawan, and the player for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were having a lighthearted conversation. While batting for the Bengaluru team, Kohli made remarks that were recorded on the stump microphone.
Virat may be heard shouting through the stump mic, "Senti kyun ho raha hai, kya ho gaya (why are you getting sentimental, what happened?" Dhawan, who was fielding in the covered area, appeared to be the target of the remarks.
Everything transpired during PBKS spinner Harpreet Brar's over. The exact context of Virat's remark is yet unknown.

Shikhar Dhawan said after the game that Virat Kohli's mishandled catch lost his team the victory.
"It was a fantastic match; we tied the score once more before losing it. We scored 10–15 runs less because I played a little too slowly during the first six overs. We lost both the dropped catch and those ten to fifteen runs. Although I am pleased with my runs, I felt that I could have played a little bit faster in the opening six overs. We also lost wickets; two wickets were lost in a row, which put pressure on us."
England player Jonny Bairstow lost a catch made by former RCB captain Virat Kohli on the second ball of the first over in the second innings, before the latter had opened his account. The superstar of the RCB then proceeded to hit 77 runs in just 49 deliveries, aided by two maximums and eleven fours.
"Virat scored about 70 runs, and we paid the price by failing to catch a player of the caliber." The second ball would have provided the momentum if we had made the catch. However, we lost the upper hand there, and we later paid the price for it," he continued.
